Cookie Policy
Effective date: 18.05.2026
Version: 1.1.
- Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how EIT Health InnoStars e.V. (InnoStars) uses cookies and similar technologies on its website at https://www.innostars.org. It complements our Privacy Policy, which sets out the broader context of how we process personal data. The Privacy Policy is available at https://innostars.org/privacy-policy/.
- What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, tags, and embedded third-party content, may store information on your device or access information already stored on it.
- Categories we use
We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
Strictly necessary — required for the website to function properly, maintain security, remember technical settings, store your cookie choices, support caching or provide a feature requested by you. These are set without your consent on the basis of Section 25(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.
Analytics and performance measurement — used to understand how the website is performing, which pages and content are relevant, how visitors use it and navigate through the site, and where the website can be improved. These are used only after you give your consent through our consent-management platform. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Embedded third-party content — where enabled, embedded third-party content, such as videos, maps or external media, is loaded only when you actively choose to view it or give the relevant consent. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- How we ask for and record your consent
We use Cookiebot (operated by Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark) to manage cookie consent.
On your first visit, the cookie banner allows you to accept all non-essential cookies and similar technologies, reject them, or choose which optional categories to enable. You can also use the “Show details” link to manage your preferences by category.
Only strictly necessary cookies are active by default. No non-essential cookies are set before you make a choice.
We retain a record of your consent decision, including the consent status, timestamp and consent identifier, in order to demonstrate compliance with Article 7(1) GDPR. The consent record is stored for up to 12 months from the date of consent or withdrawal, unless a longer period is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the consent-management icon or cookie settings link in the website footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Cookies and similar technologies in use
The following inventory is regenerated automatically by the Cookiebot scanner and reviewed before publication. It reflects the cookies set on https://www.innostars.org as of the date of the most recent scan.
Strictly necessary
